Only one signal on the band but what a strong one.
This is HC2FG booming into central Florida from Guayaquil Ecuador.
Gustavo is using a kilowatt into a 5-el monoband Yagi on 6 meters and I'm at 100 watts (Anan-10E, Neptune amp) into a 17-ft whip that was previously on 20m CW in the ARRL DX Contest - I switched to 6m just have a quick look and saw the +27dB signal.
I don't think I've ever seen a stronger signal on any band. A few minutes after I worked him, he's up to +33dB.

Yes, that's magic on the magic band. These things happen. Have been seeing Gustavo a few times on 6m but never made a contact. Some magic I had on another band today... Since I didn't have much time today I left my radio on 10m WSPR with 1W. When drinking tea this afternoon I took a quick look via remote (iphone) on WSPR and FT8. On 28095 I saw 8R1WA with a nice signal of -12dB and I just tried to call him. He responded after one call and gave me -12dB as well. Contact finished. Then it occured to me that my radio was still on 1W...

Congrats on 8R1WA - when 10m is like that, I always check 6m but I have a lot to learn about that band. It is the reason I bought the Anan- the only 6m-capable rig I own other than the FT-891 which lives in the car. Maybe I'll see you on 6m someday, Bas!
