Hi John, Well done and courageous on your part. Is the CRF a 250 or 300? I thought of getting a bike when I retired but a few test rides and I decided I’d lost my nerve. I am 74. The idea of a smaller bike had not occurred to me but you have got me thinking… Cheers, Glen VK1FB
Hey Glen - it's a CRF300L. I just bought it a couple of months ago as I'm tending toward more off-road riding than on. It's very lightweight and is the smallest bike I've owned other than my old CB100 I had as a teen. I consider it a QRP motorcycle which fits in with the plans I have for it.
The video I had planned to post for today will now be posted next week - I think you'll like it!
Hi John, You have got my brain thinking. I have ridden bikes for most of my life. My current wife and I have done many multi day walks in VK7 and ZL. Maybe a QRP motor bike, my beloved Penntek TR35, and a one person tent would be just the ticket. Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers, Glen VK1FB
Wow John...Wow. Some people just don't think sometimes. I'm glad you called the law and let them know it wasn't a tent camper, or a POTA operator. We don't need the shade this will throw. Did they ask you for the video eventually? Nice job activating!

ReplyDeleteHi Brian - no, they haven't asked and I doubt they will. I'm sure they have bigger things to deal with and don't need the paperwork.
