My main reason for wanting it is to have a way of activating 30/40 meters in areas where trees aren't available. The HamSticks do that but a car doesn't make for a very good RF ground on those bands. Maybe the better option would be to string a few radials and continue with the HamSticks. I've thought of doing the same thing you suggested: doing an A/B comp in the field. I know of one site that would really benefit from a mag loop's ability to null out noise. <br /><br />The '705?
