CDC posts corona mortality rates, by age group

The CDC has conducted some actual science around Covid-19 transmissibility and mortality - and they have published the most likely scenario of how dangerous the virus is, by age group, on their website (September 10). The following reflects data that was current up to August 8.

If you click on the link, the first several pages of verbiage explain the methodology and many different inputs. You should read it all. Have a look at the highlighted portion of this chart, “Current Best Estimate,” and look at the second row of data, “Infection Fatality Rate” (mortality rates among people who contract Covid-19, by age group). Multiply the IFR by 100 to get percent.

Allow me to convert those official mortality rates into survival rates, to make it easier for even those on the left end of the political spectrum to understand. Judge for yourself if everything, especially everything related to young people, should continue to be cancelled - or should ever have been:

1.    0-19 years old: 99.997% survival
2.    20-49 years old: 99.98% survival
3.    50-69 years old: 99.5% survival
4.    70+ years old: 94.6% survival

Breaking News: Governor DeSantis of Florida evidently reads my blog and calls BS on the Branch Covidians by cancelling their culture. Everything opens, all fines cancelled. Hopefully the other 49 states will follow suit.
