Elad to release new amp at Dayton

Italian SDR (and test equipment) manufacturer will be releasing two new products at the Dayton (Xenia) Hamfest - the FDM-S3 receiver (which can be read about here) and the Duo-Art RF amplifier shown below.

The Duo-Art matches the color scheme of the FDM-Duo SDR transceiver and raises the 8-watt output of tha ttransceiver to 50 watts. Yes, 50 - not 100 which comes as a bit of surprise and disappointment. A mere 8 dB increase at what cost?

I was expecting to see a replacement of the FDM-Duo since that rig has been out a while now. All of Elad's rig's - both receivers and transceivers - are highly regarded and it's difficult to find a negative review on any of them.

  1. 50 watts might make it less expensive. Plus the back panel looks interesting.

    1. Good question - I thought we would've known by now with the Dayton hamfest about to end.
